How It Works<\/h2>\n
Employees use Zebra mobile computers to gather and process data in the field. Using the on-device Zebra app, they configure where the gathered data is sent using \u201cprofiles.\u201d Profile configurations include which apps the data should be sent to (using Android Intents) and the inputs that trigger the data transfer (such as barcode scanning, reading RFID tags, and more).<\/p>\n
After integrating the Capacitor Zebra DataWedge plugin, your Capacitor app will be able to receive data from DataWedge. From there, the sky\u2019s the limit in terms of what is done with it. More data processing can be performed, the data can be uploaded to another service via an API, stored in a database, and more.<\/p>\n
For example, let\u2019s say that an app user needs to determine where a particular product is in the warehouse. Upon scanning the product\u2019s barcode, Zebra DataWedge sends it to a Capacitor app. The Capacitor app looks up the product using the barcode and displays the product information along with the location of the item (aisle A2, section 11).<\/p>\n
